This is a collection of texts that suggest and stimulate ways of being with a place. This reader is divided in three chapters: Sing in the Desert – Am I ok with Dying? – As We Pick the Plants We Love. Skálanes, a nature and heritage research station at the edge of Seyðisfjörður, is the place we are with, listen to, read and write from. Unfortunately this year we couldn’t walk to Skálanes due to a heavy snow storm. Instead we recreated Skálanes vibes in Heima, a collective household and living project in Seyðisfjörður.
